Prime Video India Announces 2026 Lineup: Farzi S2, Panchayat S5, Mirzapur Film And Other Major Announcements

From Bhuvan Bam to Rajkummar Rao, Prime Video’s upcoming slate brings together some of the industry’s busiest talent

At the latest #ItStartsHere event, Prime Video India has unveiled one of its most ambitious slates yet, announcing 55 new films, series and returning franchises set to roll out through 2026. The lineup spans period epics, crime thrillers, coming-of-age dramas, superhero experiments and franchise extensions, with projects backed by major production houses and fronted by a mix of streaming regulars and big-screen stars. From Nikkhil Advani’s historical drama The Revolutionaries and Nagraj Manjule’s Mumbai-set Matka King to returning hits like Panchayat, Farzi and Aspirants, the platform is clearly doubling down on scale, genre variety and recognisable talent as competition in India’s OTT space intensifies.

Prime Video India New Movies And Series Announced

The Revolutionaries

Directed by Nikkhil Advani and based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom, this period drama revisits the 1857 uprising through four young Indians who choose armed resistance against the British Raj. The series stars Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada, with Emmay Entertainment producing.

Matka King

Created and directed by Nagraj Manjule, Matka King stars Vijay Varma as a cotton trader in 1960s Mumbai who invents a numbers-based gambling game that disrupts elite betting circles. Co-starring Kritika Kamra and Sai Tamhankar, the series draws on the real history of matka gambling and its rise as a parallel economy.

Don’t Be Shy

Produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, this coming-of-age film follows 20-year-old Shyamili “Shy” Das, whose carefully planned life begins to unravel after a single unexpected event.

Marking HRX Films’ streaming debut, Storm follows five women who become entangled in a deadly housing scam. Created and directed by Ajitpal Singh, the cast includes Parvathy Thiruvothu, Alaya F, Srishti Shrivastava, Rrama Sharma and Saba Azad.

Teen Kauwe

This spy thriller stars Bobby Deol as a presumed-dead intelligence officer who resurfaces to expose the mole who framed him. Created by Abbas Tyrewala and directed by Priyanka Ghose, the series also features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sidhant Gupta, Pavail Gulati and Ronit Roy.

Raakh

Ali Fazal and Sonali Bendre headline Raakh, which follows a relentless officer investigating the disappearance of two teenagers, uncovering a deeper criminal network along the way. Directed by Prosit Roy, the series also features Aamir Bashir and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.

Vansh – The Kalyug Warriors

Produced by TVF with Indusverse Comic, this superhero series follows a young man who discovers a mythic warrior lineage and is pulled into an ancient conflict resurfacing in the modern world.

Phoolan

Written and directed by Richie Mehta, Phoolan is based on a 48-hour siege where bandit-queen-turned-political figure Phoolan Devi where she fought two-thousand men after walking into a trap. Produced by Namah Pictures, the limited-timeframe show is set to be a high-octane character study instead of a cradle-to-grave biopic.

Raftaar

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh, Raftaar explores the booming ed-tech sector through the partnership between an idealistic teacher and an ambitious entrepreneur whose shared venture spirals as greed and competition grow.

System

Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, System is a courtroom drama centred on class and gender divides, starring Sonakshi Sinha as a privileged prosecutor and Jyotika as a stenographer who challenges her. Ashutosh Gowariker appears in a key role.

Dono Mile Iss Tarah

Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, this film follows two young adults reconnecting in their twenties and re-evaluating a past romance. Starring Zaeden and Katyani Mehra, it leans into nostalgia and second-chance love.

Sundar Poonam

Sundar Poonam is a honeymoon-set thriller in which a newlywed’s obsessive past begins to threaten her present. Directed by Pulkit and produced by Abundantia Entertainment, the cast includes Sanya Malhotra and Aditya Rawal.

Vibe

Written, directed by and starring Kunal Kemmu, Vibe is a buddy comedy in which two mismatched friends accidentally stumble into a terrorist plot. Preity G Zinta co-stars in a rare on-screen return.

Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya

A dark comedy starring Kay Kay Menon and Naveen Kasturia, the series follows a disengaged headmaster and his chaotic staff trying to reform a failing government school.

Anarth

Gulshan Devaiah and Kalki Koechlin lead this supernatural thriller about a motherless child and a childless woman who form an unusual bond while confronting a sinister presence.

Ashish Chanchlani leads this zombie horror-comedy set during a college festival where a mysterious infection spreads across campus. Produced by TVF, the series mixes campus comedy with a commentary on brainrot culture and social media hysteria.

Shows And Movies Returning On Prime Video India

Mirzapur: The Movie

Expanding the crime franchise to theatres, the film reunites Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and the ensemble cast as the gangland saga moves to a larger scale.

Farzi – Season 2

Shahid Kapoor returns as counterfeiter Sunny, with Vijay Sethupathi and Kay Kay Menon reprising their roles as the cat-and-mouse game between law enforcement and the underground fake-currency network escalates. The new season promises a larger conspiracy that could destabilize India’s financial ecosystem.

Panchayat – Season 5

The next season continues Abhishek’s journey in Phulera as he prepares to move on from village life while dealing with unfinished political and personal business. The show remains one of Prime Video India’s most successful slice-of-life franchises.
