Greek God isn’t a tag to be taken lightly – you can’t just give it to any regular bloke. If he’s great looking, go ahead and call him that. He ain’t no Adonis; it’s not befitting. Unless he’s Hrithik Roshan. In which case, it’s absolutely necessary to call him that. Out of this world. That’s how he looks. Is he even human? He’s got to be a Greek God.

But Roshan is so much more than his looks. Incredible actor, gifted dancer, yes, but a man’s who redefined ageing in the spotlight. Crow’s feet he proudly flaunts, greys he owns and how. His physique refuses to age – who knew it were possible to get even more ripped as you get older – but he’s earned a kind of maturity and gravitas that only comes with experience. He’s now turning filmmaker, even as his stardom as an actor continues to expand. Some men truly are that gifted. Timeless, more like it.

Speaking of time, as the face of Rado, Roshan gets it better than most others. He makes the most of it. Pauses pruned to perfection. Actions always well-ascertained. That mind-body connection we’ve all heard about? Our inaugural cover star has it in spades, and then some more. In this exclusive conversation, he talks to us about making the most of his time, his idea of luxury and the style sensibilities than keep him look sharp, among other things.

Edited excerpts:

Rado has long been associated with innovation and material mastery. What about this campaign resonated with you the most?

What resonated with me most was the idea of connection. The campaign speaks about two very different worlds contrasting energies, environments, and personalities that are ultimately drawn together by something constant. The Rado anchor, as a symbol of consistency and precision, reflects how, no matter how different our paths may be, there are values that ground us and bring us together over time.

High-tech ceramic is a Rado signature lightweight, durable, and scratch-resistant. How important is functionality in your choice of timepieces?

Functionality is fundamental for me. A watch isn’t just an aesthetic choice; it has to support your lifestyle. High-tech ceramic is impressive because it combines comfort, durability, and elegance effortlessly. It’s lightweight enough to wear all day, strong enough to withstand real life, and refined enough to feel luxurious that balance is what I look for in a timepiece.

Do you associate different watches with different phases of your life training, travel, downtime?

Yes, I'd say different watches to match particular activities , or even trips to particular destinations is something I have automatically inclined towards and rather enjoyed. Over time, a watch has become more than an object for me ; it carries memories and emotions linked to where I am in life at that moment.

What do you think today’s man is really looking for in a luxury watch status, storytelling, or something more personal?

I think today’s man is looking for something far more personal and meaningful. Status alone doesn’t hold the same value anymore. What matters is authenticity how the watch connects with your story, your values, and your sense of self. A luxury watch today should feel like an extension of who you are, not a statement you’re trying to make.

How do you define luxury? And how has that definition changed over the years?

Luxury, to me, is about quality, intention, and time. I see luxury as something that is thoughtfully made, built to last, and quietly confident. It’s about craftsmanship, restraint, and the freedom to choose what truly resonates with you.

When it comes to luxury watches, are you driven more by design, craftsmanship, or emotional value?

All three are important, but emotional value is what ultimately endures. Design may catch your eye, craftsmanship earns your admiration, but it’s the emotional connection that makes a watch stay with you. When a timepiece becomes part of your journey and your memories, it transcends trends and becomes timeless.

In an age of smartwatches and constant connectivity, what does wearing a traditional timepiece mean to you?

Wearing a traditional timepiece feels grounding. It’s a conscious choice to stay present rather than constantly connected. A mechanical watch doesn’t demand your attention or distract you; it simply marks time with quiet precision. In today’s fast-paced world, that sense of calm and continuity is incredibly valuable.

You're known as quite the style icon. What's one style rule you diligently follow? And one you'll never break?

The one rule I always follow is authenticity wearing things that genuinely feel like me. Style should never feel forced. And one rule I’ll never break is comfort. If you’re not comfortable in what you’re wearing, it reflects in your posture and confidence, no matter how stylish the outfit is.

How important are accessories in defining a man's overall look? Aside from a good watch, what are some of your other favourite accessories?

Accessories play a subtle but important role in completing a look. They shouldn’t overpower your personality, but they can add depth and character. A good watch is essential. Beyond that, I gravitate towards well-crafted shoes, sunglasses, or understated neck pieces that add polish without drawing too much attention.

How would you define 'time well spent' for yourself?
Time well spent is when you’re fully present and intentional. It could be time with family, training for a role, travelling, or simply being still and reflecting. Those moments when you’re connected  to yourself, to others, or to your purpose  are the ones that truly stay with you long after the moment has passed.
