"Stay Curious, Stay Soft": Alia Bhatt Writes a Letter to Her Younger Self

Even though things are going exceptionally well for Alia Bhatt right now, as a child the Indian actor would have had no idea quite how things were going to pan out. So if Older Alia could share a little of her hard-won wisdom with Little Alia, what exactly would she say?

In our new video series, A Letter To My Younger Self, Alia does exactly that, offering encouragement and reassurance at times, while also preparing her younger self for what's to come. She champions the importance of taking risks and making mistakes, and takes a moment to note the elements that are worth cherishing: time with her father, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, and the dream of motherhood that would one day come true.

And perhaps Little Alia, growing up in a film family, wouldn't have imagined the specific contours her career would take, or that she'd one day write to herself about her "most beautiful daughter in the whole wide world" (though probably very high on Little Alia's list of dreams, that). But it's been a journey, and a good one, with much to be thankful for—mostly "grateful days," as Bhatt clearly notes.
