For bike enthusiasts, 2026 is already revving like it means business. From sleek roadsters and V-twins to rugged adventure builds and a new wave of tech-forward middleweights, this year looks like it wants every kind of rider to have an actual choice. There’s heritage making a comeback, complete with the technology and designs that modern riders look for.

Be it BMW’s India-built F 450 GS stepping in as a new entry point to the GS lineage, to Norton’s long-awaited comeback with the Atlas adventure motorcycle, the year ahead promises plenty of talking points. Add to that the rumoured return of the Yezdi Roadking, reimagined for a new generation of riders, and 2026 looks set to offer everything from long-distance capability to old-school charm.

Built locally at Bajaj’s Chakan plant, it takes cues from KTM’s global 790 platform but tweaks them for Indian roads and riders. Expect a punchy parallel-twin engine, aggressive streetfighter stance, and serious electronics like traction control and a quickshifter. This one is aimed straight at enthusiasts who want performance without stepping into superbike territory.

BMW’s new F 450 GS, built in India by TVS, made its global debut at EICMA 2025. While reports initially pointed to an India launch at IBW 2025, the entry-level adventure bike is now expected to arrive in January 2026.  It is powered by a newly developed 450cc parallel-twin that delivers a strong 48 hp while keeping weight down to just 175 kg. Designed to make the most of the A2 category, the engine offers punchy performance even at lower revs. Its lightweight, compact build keeps the bike agile, efficient, and ready for everyday adventures, whether that’s city riding or heading off the map.
Expected Price: Rs 4.5- 5.5 lakhs approx

Launch: Late January or early February 2026

Five years after acquiring Norton Motorcycles, TVS is preparing to relaunch the iconic British brand in India and overseas. Alongside new V4 superbikes—the Manx and Manx R—Norton’s adventure offering will be called the Atlas, which is now tipped for an India launch in mid-2026, following its European debut in April. Built in India by TVS, the Atlas is expected to feature a new 585cc parallel-twin producing around 65–70hp, a steel trellis frame, USD forks, monoshock suspension, and an 8-inch TFT display. Two variants are likely: a more off-road-focused version with spoke wheels and a touring-oriented GT with alloys.

It’s expected to run a newly developed 350cc liquid-cooled engine with a smaller bore, tuned for stronger low- and mid-range torque, exactly where everyday riders need it. Wire-spoke, likely tubeless cross-spoke wheels will add to its retro appeal, while keeping things practical. Designed to sit comfortably under the 350cc tax bracket, this Bonneville looks ready to take on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 on familiar ground.

Yezdi Roadking

The Yezdi Roadking was an iconic, rugged two-stroke motorcycle built by Ideal Jawa Ltd between 1978 and 1996, celebrated for its unmistakable exhaust note, motocross DNA, and quirky integrated kick-starter and gear shifter. Now, the Roadking name is set for a revival, with Yezdi expected to reintroduce it as a modern cruiser that blends retro styling with contemporary tech. The new Roadking is tipped to use a 334cc engine producing around 30bhp, and will rival the Royal Enfield Classic 350, featuring essentials like dual-channel ABS and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

Expected Price: Rs 2.2 – 2.6 lakh approx
