Cruise Pitt Reunion That We Never Knew We Needed Just Happened
At the F1 movie premiere, Hollywood’s two handsome alpha males reminded us what star power and power dressing — really looks like
Two of the biggest movie stars alive, reunited after 24 years, standing side by side at the premiere of F1: The Movie.
It took just one photograph —Brad Pitt in a forest green suit and Tom Cruise in charcoal grey — to send the internet into a mild frenzy. The only thing faster than the cars behind them? The way they made every other man on that carpet look like a trainee.
It is wild that the two American megastars shared a screen was in 1994 for Interview with the Vampire. One was fanged elegance, the other feral intensity. Edward Cullen who?
Cut to 2025, and they’re now icons of different Hollywood eras who — miraculously — still carry the kind of weight that doesn’t need hashtags or hype cycles. And the looks? Effortless. Tailored. Devastatingly handsome and sculpted.
Brad Pitt who is producing the film alongside Lewis Hamilton showed up like he just inherited a vineyard in Tuscany and made his own suit out of old-money charisma. Striding his way on to the red carpet in a deep forest green double-breasted jacket with softly padded shoulders, wide lapels, and an airy, almost lived-in drape and that buzz cut that is an instant reminder of his Fight Club days.

The handmade tuxedo by Savile Row and tailored by Anderson and Sheppard has redefined Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Oscar winner's red carpet game over recently, blending anti-fit charm with precise detail. Pitt was first spotted wearing a shiny lilac blazer jacket and black trousers by Savile Row who have custom-made all the looks in a mix of classic and colourful tones.
Then there's the Mission Impossible star bringing his casual suave style to the film premiere. Cruise wore a crisp, mid-charcoal single-breasted suit that was tailored to the millimetre. Cruise's look a quick to make us think of the old-school, high-function elegance.
His short, a soft off-white with a gently open collar, added just enough ease to avoid looking too starched. While, his shoes- black, polished and laced-up in a perfect knot and those iconic sunglasses, the aviators, that travel with him with all his looks are the final bits of touch-up needed for the look.
In a recent interview, F1: The Movie's director, Joseph Kosinski, and producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, both, who have worked with the two on previous films including An Interview With A Vampire said that they were hoping to originally bring the pair together on the big screen for Kosinski's own version of the racing drama Ford v Ferrari but due to budget constraints had to drop the plan.
Instead, the James Mangold ended up directing the film with Christian Bale and Matt Damon.
So, while they two are promoting the film together and not actually starring in it (unless this is supposed to be a hint at some cameo ) it is a nostalgic moment for fans that miss what movie stars used to look like and still can. No oversized suits drowning in irony.
No normcore sneakers pretending not to care. Just two men, both in their 60s, dressing like grownups with the kind of confidence that comes from surviving four decades of Hollywood and somehow ageing into myth.
And the F1 backdrop couldn’t have been more perfect. Speed, precision, legacy. All themes that echo through both of their careers and their wardrobes. Sure, anyone can put on a suit. But only a few wear one like a narrative. Brad and Tom weren’t just dressed up for the occasion.

They knew they were telling stories — of who they’ve been, who they’ve become, and the unspoken rivalry that’s now matured into something far more stylish: mutual myth.
