Moreover, the recent Padma Bhushan award conferred by President of India, Droupadi Murmu, suggests the lasting impression he has created for himself beyond fame or fortune.
The award is symbolic of excellence, integrity, and contribution to society. It is all about the determined pursuits that even got him on the nomination list in the first place.
An age that lives for applause and instant gratification, Ajith Kumar’s achievements stand apart as he has led—a life of risk, repetition, and refusal. He crashed, he lost, he trained again all while there was little applause, little to no press.
He is one of those men who lets his work speak for him than the other way around. In a heartfelt statement during the announcement of the award earlier this year, Ajith shared his immense gratitude for the recognition.
