Everything We Know About Deli Boys Season 2
A chaotic crime comedy returns with a stacked new cast.
If you slept on Deli Boys Season 1, first of all: what were you doing? Second: there’s still time to fix that before May 28, which is when Season 2 officially comes out.
The show — which followed Mir and Raj Dar, two completely unprepared Pakistani-American brothers who inherit their late father’s secret criminal empire in Philadelphia — was one of last year’s most genuinely fun watches. It had the chaotic energy of a family sitcom, the stakes of a crime thriller, and Poorna Jagannathan playing a crime boss auntie with such effortless authority that every scene she was in felt like a gift. It found its audience, built a cult following, and now it’s back with more cash, more chaos, and frankly an absurd amount of new talent joining the mix!
What’s Season 2 About?
Turns out inheriting a criminal empire was the easy part. Season 2 picks up with the Dars drowning in dirty money and every sketchy operator in Philly suddenly very interested in their business. The new centrepiece is Max Sugar — casino king, money launderer, and Lucky’s chaotic new situationship — played by Fred Armisen, who was announced as a series regular when the show got renewed. He’s described as “uniquely brilliant and deeply unhinged,” which honestly sounds like perfect casting. Meanwhile Raj is plotting revenge, Mir is trying to expand DarCo without burning it all down, and a politically ambitious D.A. is circling, hoping one big bust launches his mayoral campaign. So: business as usual, except significantly messier.

The New Cast Is Stacked
This is where it gets exciting. Deli Boys Season 2 is bringing in some serious names.
Andrew Rannells (Girls, Black Monday) joins as Andrew Chadwater, the D.A. with his eye on the mayor’s office. Kumail Nanjiani (yay!) recurs as Danyal, a defense attorney hired by Max Sugar. Lilly Singh guest stars as Aisha, wife of Maalik Ali and apparently very, very interested in Raj. Robin Thede shows up as Dr. Iverson, a couples therapist with, per the official description, “questionable ethics.” And Tan France returns as Zubair, the British Pakistani gangster who was a highlight of Season 1.
This is a genuinely stacked bench. The show has always had great instincts with casting and Season 2 is clearly not playing it safe.

Deli Boys Season 2 premieres May 28 on Hulu. For Indian viewers, Season 1 is currently streaming on JioHotstar, so Season 2 should follow on the same platform.
