All The Movies Releasing in February 2026
Here's what we're watching in February
Look, we all know what February is supposed to be. Red hearts plastered on every surface, couples making movie plans, and the blockbuster industry churning out its annual quota of romance.
But, surprisingly, February 2026 is also kind of all over the place, and in a good way. For starters, Vishal Bhardwaj is taking Romeo and Juliet and throwing it into Mumbai's underworld. Then, Emerald Fennell's doing Wuthering Heights but making it look more like a horror film with lots and lots of yearning. And there's literally a Valentine's release where a couple fights a crocodile. Dating in 2026, am I right?

By month's end, February pivots entirely. Scream 7 slashes its way back into theatres, Mardaani 3 returns with its uncompromising look at crime against women in India, and Chloé Zhao's award-winning Hamnet offers a meditation on grief so raw it's earned every accolade thrown its way. It's a month that starts with love and ends with survival—fitting, really, for the kind of 2026 we’re having.
Movies Releasing in February 2026
So, without further ado, here's what's actually worth your time in theatres this February.
Vadh 2
Release date: 6 February 2026
The fist Vadh stayed with us because it made us uncomfortable in that slow, creeping way only good thrillers can. And now, Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta return in this unsettling thriller about ordinary people pushed too far by a broken system. It literally asks the question: what do you do when the system can do nothing for you anymore? Produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, the film premiered at IFFI 2025 to positive reactions.
Wuthering Heights
Release date: 13 February 2026
Did you really think Emerald Fennell adapting Emily Brontë was going to result in cosy candlelight and fluttering curtains? With Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as doomed lovers, this version leans hard into obsession, cruelty, and longing that feels almost violent. It’s moody, gothic, and unapologetically dark. We’re talking wind-lashed moors, feral longing, and love that feels closer to possession than romance. If nothing else convinces you, just watch it for Elordi's biceps.
O Romeo
Release date: 13 February 2026
Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor working together again, which if you remember Kaminey and Haider, means we can expect some good stuff. O Romeo takes Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and drops it into post-independence Mumbai's underworld. Shahid plays a gangster who gets obsessed with this mysterious woman (Triptii Dimri) who shows up with a job offer. The cast is stacked with Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Nana Patekar, and it's going to be dark. Like, proper dark. Bhardwaj doesn't really do light.
Crime 101
Release date: 13 February 2026
Based on Don Winslow’s novella, Crime 101 is built on a classic dynamic: the criminal who can’t stop, and the cop who refuses to let him go. Chris Hemsworth plays master thief Mike Davis, while Mark Ruffalo is Lou Lubesnick, the detective determined to catch him. With Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry, and Jennifer Jason Leigh in the mix, this one looks like a fun thriller.
Swayambhu
Release date: 13 February 2026
The film draws from ancient legends, following a chosen warrior tasked with restoring balance after dark forces threaten humanity. Led by Nikhil Siddhartha, the film promises grand sets, stylised action sequences, and the kind of larger-than-life storytelling that epic cinema does best.
GOAT
Release date: 13 February 2026
An animated underdog story in a world run entirely by animals, GOAT follows a small goat with oversized dreams of making it in a brutal sport called roarball. Voiced by Caleb McLaughlin and backed by a warm ensemble, it’s funny, sweet, and knowingly predictable in the best way. It’s full comfort viewing, if that’s what you’re looking for this month.
Tu Yaa Main
Release date: 13 February 2026
What starts as a romantic getaway for two young social media influencers—played by Shanaya Kapoor (as she marks her debut) and Adarsh Gourav—quickly spirals into a fight for survival when they find themselves trapped with a deadly crocodile. The film blends thriller elements with a sharp critique of Gen-Z obsession with content creation. It's an unconventional Valentine's release, but if you're looking for something fun while you’re also clinging on to the edge of your seat, this might be it.
Hamnet
Release date: 20 February 2026
Chloé Zhao's Hamnet is already one of the most acclaimed films of the past year, and for good reason. Based on Maggie O'Farrell's novel, the film explores the grief of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes after the death of their 11-year-old son, Hamnet—a loss that would later inspire Hamlet. Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal deliver career-defining performances, with Buckley's portrayal earning her a Golden Globe and widespread critical praise. The film is intimate, devastating, and beautifully crafted.
Do Deewane Shaher Mein
Release date: 20 February 2026
Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur lead this coming-of-age romance set against the backdrop of a bustling city. Here, two dreamers try to navigate love, ambition, and heartbreak while carving out their own space in an urban landscape that doesn't care if they succeed. It's the kind of film that taps into the restless energy of youth today, capturing both the hope and the disillusionment that come with chasing what you want.
Scream 7
Release date: 27 February 2026
Ghostface is back, and so is Kevin Williamson, and this time he’s in the director's chair. Scream 7 marks the return of the franchise that taught a generation of horror fans to question every genre convention, and this latest instalment promises to honour that legacy. Only this time, Ghostface is after Sidney Prescott's daughter (ugh, give that woman some rest.) According to the official movie synopsis, "Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all."
Mardaani 3
Release date: 27 February 2026
Rani Mukerji’s Shivani Shivaji Roy is back! Mardaani 3 continues the franchise’s commitment to tackling real-world crime with urgency, once again placing women’s safety at its core.
