The First Teaser For Alia Bhatt's Alpha Is Finally Here

The first official teaser of Alpha has finally been released, giving audiences a closer look at Alia Bhatt's character in Yash Raj Films' expanding Spy Universe. The film stars Alia in the lead role alongside Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol and is directed by Shiv Rawail. Check it out below:

What We See In Alpha’s Teaser

The teaser introduces Alia's character, Sita, and traces her journey into the secret Alpha programme. What is the programme, you ask? It's a secret mission to train the next generation of India’s strongest soldiers. The footage opens with Sita celebrating her 18th birthday with her father (played by Bobby Deol) before the occasion takes a serious turn.

During the dinner, Sita receives a gift containing a secret code. Bobby's character then reveals that her first mission will begin on her 18th birthday. What will it be? Watch the movie to find out.

The teaser suggests that Bobby Deol's character has trained Sita from childhood for this mission. An Alpha tattoo marked on her forearm becomes a recurring symbol throughout the clip. This goes with the central theme of the teaser: Bobby's belief that "a wolf's daughter will be a wolf". The clip also features several action sequences showcasing Alia in combat and training scenarios.

Where Is Sharvari, Though?

While the teaser has generated excitement among Alia's fans, many viewers were quick to notice that Sharvari does not appear anywhere at all.

Several users on social media pointed out that although Sharvari features in the teaser's promotional artwork and thumbnail image, she is absent from the 115-second video. Fans questioned the decision to exclude a co-lead from the first major promotional asset and expressed hope that her role would receive more attention in future marketing material.

Others speculated that the makers may be deliberately withholding details about her character as a surprise element ahead of the film's release.

Alpha Release Date

Alpha has undergone multiple release date changes during production. The film was initially scheduled to arrive in theatres in December 2025 before being postponed to April 2026. Yash Raj Films had previously cited additional visual effects work as the reason for the delay.

The film will now release worldwide on July 3, 2026, becoming the latest instalment in YRF's Spy Universe following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Pathaan, Tiger 3, War and War 2.
