Diljit Dosanjh Teams Up With Sia And David Guetta For New Single Ranjha

Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh just dropped his latest international single “Ranjha,” a collaboration with pop singer Sia and EDM producer David Guetta. The track is now available across all streaming platforms from today, March 13.
The collaboration brings together three artists from different corners of the global music landscape. Over the last few years, Dosanjh has built a name for himself among international audiences, while Sia and Guetta have been the mainstays of pop and EDM music for more than a decade now. Released via Warner Music India, “Ranjha” blends Punjabi lyricism with electronic production and pop vocals, in tune with the growing crossovers between South Asian sounds and global dance culture. The is also the second time Dosanjh’s partnered with Sia. The two previously worked together on the 2023 track Hass Hass, which became an international hit. With Guetta joining the mix, Ranjha expands that collaboration further into the global dance music space.
Before its official release, the song had an unusual early audience. On Tuesday, March 10, a snippet of Ranjha was first played for students studying the The Music & Influence of Diljit Dosanjh course at Toronto Metropolitan University. Students attending the class heard the track and discussed it as part of their course schedule ahead of its public launch.
“This track carries that Punjabi heart but opens up to the world in a big way. Working with Sia again felt natural, and having David bring his energy just took it somewhere new. It’s one of those songs that makes you move — but also feel something,” said Dosanjh about the release.
Dosanjh has taken Punjabi music to international stages such as Coachella and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, alongside sold-out stadium performances in Toronto and Vancouver. He has also earned acclaim as an actor with roles in films such as Udta Punjab, Good Newwz, Soorma, and Amar Singh Chamkila.
Most recently, he appeared in Border 2 alongside Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty. He will next collaborate again with filmmaker Imtiaz Ali on an upcoming project following the success of Amar Singh Chamkila. The singer is all set to begin the North American wing of his Aura World Tour, set to comment next month.
Meanwhile, Sia has continued to release new music while expanding her work as a songwriter and collaborator. Her 2024 album Reasonable Woman marked her return to solo releases and featured several high-profile collaborations. Meanwhile, David Guetta recently released the single Save Me Tonight with Jennifer Lopez and is currently touring internationally with his large-scale Monolith live show.
