For far too long brooches weren’t given the respect that they deserved—having been perceived as archaic. But they’re no longer just for the grandpa core aesthetic. For they have become the coolest accessory of the modern times.

I distinctly remember my grandmother using a bejewelled brooch to secure the pleats of her sari in place (perhaps that’s where my penchant for bending fashion rules began). Personalisation is the key. These little (sometimes huge) wearable pieces of art can be used in more ways than you’d think. Sure, you can pin a brooch to the lapel of your blazer and call it a day, but have you considered wearing them in a cluster? Or on your tie (AKA Karl Lagerfeld’s way of wearing a brooch)?
