This one is for men who can’t stop thinking about their hair!

Be it at home, during work meetings or while you’re with your buddies, if you can’t stop fixing your hair and dreaming about that next ‘fabulous’ hair cut or style you’d like for yourself, we’ve got you covered.

Take this as a message from the style gods – it's time to steer towards a free-flowing, shorter and fuss-free vibe. But why are we tilting you towards a cleaner, more sophisticated look? Because that’s what the hair experts have summoned!

As per celebrity hair artist, Florian Hurel, “A mix of pop culture, practicality, and self-expression is driving trends. Influencers, athletes, and celebrities are shaping the aesthetics, but there’s also a big push toward authenticity and individuality. More men are choosing styles that work with their natural hair type and lifestyle rather than chasing overly styled looks.”

Hairstyles Gaining Popularity Among Men In 2025

Chief Education Officer of VURVE Salon, Vipul Chudasama says, “men are embracing textured, lived-in looks with a modern edge—think messy quiffs and layered cuts.” It’s all about balance and going for something that makes a statement and is low maintenance. Florian tells Esquire, “Textured crop continues to trend for its low-maintenance appeal and versatility. We’re also seeing a rise in medium-length styles with natural movement—think curtain bangs or layered shags.”

And if you are aiming to go bolder—the hair artists urge you to consider a sexy, modern mullet or curly taper fades.

Clearly, retro styles are making a powerful resurgence. Think side parts and pompadour or even the ‘70s feathered hair... It has a certain devil-may-care insouciance to it. However, it can work right for you if you tell your barber to give you a layered cut on top with slight length in the front and then taper it down the sides. “When it's wet, blow dry it straight back” advices Florian. Vipul also suggests, “For retro styles, invest in strong-hold pomades and gels that deliver both structure and shine. The goal is making the look feel intentional yet not overdone.”

Florian also adds, “The buzz cut is also resurging—not just for its simplicity, but as a statement of confidence. The slick back, reworked with matte products for a softer hold, is also gaining traction.” Honestly, we love an all-business close crop. The only drawback is that you’ll have to get a cut frequently.

Styling Recommendation For Textured Crops And Messy Medium Styles

Florian adds, “a matte clay or styling paste works best—look for products with a light to medium hold. For more defined curls or shags, a curl-enhancing cream or light mousse can bring out natural movement.”
