It's quiet a moment the first time you ever notice a grey hair strand standing out. To say it's shocking is an understatement, especially because of the ones that glint like a warning sign, leaving us perplexed. Should you dye it or wear it?

For the longest time, the answer to that inner dilemma has been to dye it or if the sprouting has gone out of control, pluck those baddies out. Hide it, disguise it, do whatever it takes but don't show that first sign of ageing.

But grey isn't something to hide. In some cultures, its a sign you becoming wiser. Whoever made salt n pepper look unapologetically attractive needs to be showered with slow claps. There's a certain kind of light that carries itself along the soft, silver greys and does not look one bit worn out. It is graceful and brings a regal charm if done right.

Obviously, grey hair draws the eye and makes people pay attention. Given that it is slightly more coarse, drier and a touch more unpredictable, that just means, it needs a little more care than control. So a good, haircut, some lightweight styling cream, and regular trims are your new besties. But if you have achieved a salt n pepper look, it requires a little more than just trims and styling.

Also, it is said thar silver haired men get better with age so when you do get compliments from people around you, don't shrug it off. You don't know how much power a good silver fox mane holds. I mean, just look at all the celebs donning it. While more openly embraced in Hollywood that anywhere else, actors like George Clooney, Pierce Brosnan and Richard Gere come to mind.

How about Indian actors who sport greys best? Don't think we don't have any handsome silver haired foxes, 'cause you'd be so wrong.
