
Not sure if it's a case of the recency bias talking, or we're seriously getting some good horror movies and shows in 2026. The success around Obsession, Backrooms, Widow's Bay means more we should expect more from the genre in the second half of the year.
And as if October has switched places with July, we have Evil Dead Burn resurrecting Bruce Campbell's cult franchise in theatres, on OTT we've Malayalam-film Muthassi and K-horror The East Palace playing. And that's not the end of the horror releases in July 2026. It is just a proof that horror doesn't clock out for summer.
