It’s that time of the month again... when we give you a list of all the new movies releasing next month, at a theatre near you. And the list for July is looking rather promising. From India’s first female-led spy film to major Hollywood biggies making their way to cinemas, it’s all happening in July, and for cinema lovers and goers alike, this could be the month of some serious cinematic excellence. So without further ado, shall we get to the list, then?
Love it or loathe it, but YRF’s spy universe is still on, and back with another new movie. This one is the origin story of its first female spy, or are they two of them? Alia Bhatt and Sharvari are headlining the film alongside Bobby Deol as the principal antagonist. Alpha also features Anil Kapoor in the cast with a cameo by Hrithik Roshan – don't come at us; it was made rather obvious in the trailer!
Release date: 3rd July, 2026

It’s the sixth installment of the Evil Dead franchise, and a standalone sequel to the films released in 2013 and 2023. Since horror films are all the rage these days thanks to Obsession, we’re assuming this one too will find its footing at the box-office, and in the hearts and minds of audiences. Especially those who love getting scared.

Hurry up, though, for tickets are already getting booked by the second.

Based on the life of legendary inventor, G.D. Naidu, G.D.N features R. Madhavan in the titular role, along with Priyamani in the female lead. Though honestly, since it’s releasing on the same day as The Odyssey, we aren’t sure it’ll find its due audiences. But then, can anyone predict what’ll work at the box-office? Not sure, for sure.
