Marvel Fans, Rejoice! Spider-Man: Brand New Day Releases Early In India

Tom Holland's fourth solo outing as Spider-Man just moved up its Indian release date. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will now hit Indian cinemas on July 30, 2026, a day ahead of its original July 31 worldwide date, according to Sony Pictures Entertainment India.

Advance bookings for premium formats, including IMAX, 4DX, and MX4D, go live on June 17, giving fans a chance to lock in seats for their preferred screens well before release. The film will open across all premium large formats in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, in both 2D and 3D.

Meanwhile, in the US, Amazon Prime members get a two-day head start with a special early-access screening on July 29, ahead of the wide release on July 31.

What Spider-Man: Brand New Day Will Be About

Set four years after No Way Home, the film picks up with Peter Parker living in self-imposed isolation, having erased himself from the memories of everyone he loves, including MJ and Ned. The trailer opens with him watching his former friends enjoy college life from a distance, while he’s broke, clearly very miserable, and getting by on odd jobs while still patrolling the city.

But things are beginning to take a strange turn. Peter is experiencing unexplained blackouts, including one sequence where he wakes up suspended mid-air inside a cocoon of webbing, and he can make his own web now? Without his shooters? Despite the slump that the MCU has been experiencing, the Spider-Man films show no sign of slowing down. The trailer has already made history, becoming one of the first Marvel trailers to cross one billion views across platforms, a number that says a lot about where audience anticipation currently stands. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Empire that Brand New Day marks a deliberate return to the character's roots: "It is the first Spider-Man film that we've made in the MCU that is focused on the classic elements of Spider-Man. He's doing the Spidey thing of living in a rather sad, small apartment, listening to the police scanner and going out and using his great power responsibly."

Just like the deviation from the "home" based naming convention of the first three films, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will give us a Peter Parker that is far from the Stark-tech, ensemble-driven Spider-Man of Tom Holland's first three films.
