Diljit Dosanjh Just Broke The Internet With This Unexpected Collab
Two icons. One music video. A whole lot of balle balle.
In a timeline full of celebrity crossovers, this might just be the one that breaks the internet and your dad’s WhatsApp group at the same time.
Over the weekend, Diljit Dosanjh—India’s reigning bhangra king and low-key international flex—posted a video of himself dancing with none other than Hollywood’s Fresh Prince, Will Smith.
The clip, shared as a joint post on Instagram, features the two grooving to Dosanjh’s infectious track “Case,” with Smith giving bhangra his best shot—orange sneakers and all.
Their IRL debut, though, is something else. The video opens with Smith literally holding up a picture of Diljit on his phone—because subtlety is overrated—and then cuts to the duo pulling out bhangra moves like it’s a wedding sangeet gone global. It’s joyous. It’s weirdly wholesome. It all ends in a warm bro-hug.

Diljit kept it desi in a classic white kurta-pyjama and red turban, while Smith went for peak California-casual in a navy blue co-ord set. The kind of energy that can only come from a dhol beat drop and a surprise dance partner who once saved the world from aliens.
It’s a crossover no one saw coming but somehow makes cosmic sense. For context, this isn’t entirely out of nowhere. Smith’s been lurking in the Dosanjh-verse for a while now. He followed the singer on Instagram last August and left a fire emoji on a clip from Diljit’s track “Tension” earlier this year. Diljit replied with a flex emoji and a “Big Brother” shoutout.

Diljit, meanwhile, is on a world domination arc. Fresh off his Dil-Luminati tour and upcoming roles in Punjab 95 and Border 2, the man is flipping the script on what global stardom looks like.
Will this lead to a music video? A film? A bhangra remix? Who knows. But in an increasingly weird and wonderful world, watching Will Smith hit a bhangra move with Diljit Dosanjh just feels right.
