Who The F Are Boy Throb? Meet the Viral Boy Band You Never Knew You Needed
Move over BTS, because there’s a new boy band in town
If you’ve been scrolling TikTok in the past month, you’ve probably stumbled across the surreal spectacle that is Boy Throb. The boy band dressed entirely in matching pink tracksuits, that has already hit 1 million followers, and is now begging journalists to notice them. Yes, you read that right: a boy band asking for press coverage like it’s a Kickstarter campaign.

So, who are they?
Move over BTS, because there’s a new boy band in town or at least on your TikTok For You page says so. They’re pink, cringey, and somehow extremely earnest. The LA-based trio—Evan Papier, Anthony Key, and Zachary Sobania (Berklee grad and actual musician) claim their primary mission is noble: getting their fourth member, Darshan Magdum,
(yes, the guy who has been karaoke-ing to The Weeknd and Bruno Mars song to the point his videos were shared by some big Hollywood celebs) stuck in India, a US visa.
While the million-follower milestone was supposed to magically solve the immigration issue, their lawyer has apparently decided the plot twist requires “legitimate press” to prove Darshan’s extraordinary ability. Yes, extraordinary ability… presumably in green screen karaoke.

Fans, affectionately dubbed the Throb Mob, are obsessed. Darshan’s remote performances via green screen and video calls have become viral gold, making him an unexpected breakout star. Skeptics, however, are side-eyeing the whole operation, wondering if the band (and possibly the lawyer) is an elaborate, multi-level satire.
Despite the chaos, the band insists they’re serious musicians, currently recording their first original single to prove the haters wrong and finally reunite in the US.
Boy Throb is the kind of internet phenomenon that makes you laugh, roll your eyes, and then inevitably watch one more TikTok, just to see what pink-tracksuit chaos they’ll unleash next. So whether you’re here for the cringe, the catchy tunes, or Darshan’s digital wizardry, Boy Throb claim they are here to a win a Grammy and are "the next biggest boyband" according to their YouTube bio. I guess we watch out?
