Come what may but the love for a G-SHOCK for Indian men will never die. Casio India is reviving its first-ever watch through its latest G-SHOCK 2500 'CasioNaut' Series collection priced under ₹30,000. The G-SHOCK 2500 Series that ranges between ₹9,995 to ₹26,995 is built on the DW-5000C and swaps digital for a refined analog format.

For anyone doubting the shift from digital to analog degrading the watch's toughness, would be disappointed as the refinement carries the same toughness that the original watch did. Here's what you should eye from the latest collection by Casio India that are inspired by DW-5000C.

What's New About GMC-2500 and GAC-2500?

Apart from the fact that the two models-- the resin GAC-2500 and the metal-clad GMC-2500-- make the line-up and are inspired by the first-ever G-SHOCK DW-5000, both models have new looks that are deigned using the concept of 'Depth in Shadow' which as the name suggests plays with light through sculpted surfaces, layered dial architecture and sharply defined indexes. Contrasting to the original contours of the DW-5000C, the two new models are softer and more rounded.

Moreover, the G-SHOCK has fixed something that many analog watches in the past skipped fixing- the date window. The new series offers a date window that fixes itself through the Multi-Mission function. It uses a three-cell window at 3 o'clock to show the date, a stopwatch elapsed time and setting information. Set it once and the watch adjusts for month-ends and leap years on its own.

The GAC-2500 watch is available in 4 different colours on the New G-SHOCK 2500 SERIES including yellow, white, grey and black.

But that's not all that one should limit their expectations to when it comes to a G-SHOCK. The new collection promises the exact same shock resistance and 20-bar water resistance carry over. The series also features the distinctive Two-Eye Signature design, pairing a small-seconds display at 9 o'clock with a multifunction indicator at 3 o'clock. The clean, purposeful dial layout further enhances readability while reinforcing the collection's refined aesthetic. With compact proportions and considered detailing, the series brings together material, form and functionality.

The compact case comfortably fits any wrist and is a key feature of the 2500 series. This is paired with a band also meticulously designed for even more comfort. Each 2500 timepiece features a band designed to complement the style of the exterior design, completing the distinctive look of the individual model.

Why Go Analog Everyone's Going Digital?

GMC-2500 from the New G-SHOCK 2500 SERIES is available in 5 different colours

According to Casio, Analog allows you to intuitively sense, just from the position of the hands, how much time has passed and how much remains, a real advantage in reading time. The watch hands and indexes of the 2500 series, even the depth of the dial itself, are carefully crafted to be even more intuitive, embodying the essence of what it means to read time.

A clean, contemporary analog dial that makes reading time easy and intuitive, the new watch is paired with the octagonal case — the unmistakable signature of the first-ever G-SHOCK. The analog movement developed specifically for this line of timepieces is, fittingly, crafted at Yamagata Casio, the G-SHOCK “mother factory.”
