South Indian OTT Releases This Week July 6-12, 2026

Kotha Malupu – Prime Video (July 6)

A Telugu romantic comedy from director Siva Kesanakurthi, set in a village where two childhood friends slowly realise their bond has turned into something more. Old secrets and a few misunderstandings get in the way, but it's mostly a feel-good watch with plenty of warmth and humour.

Peddi – Netflix (July 9)

This is probably the biggest release of the week. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu. The story is set in rural Andhra Pradesh and follows a talented cricketer whose dreams take an unexpected turn, pushing him toward wrestling instead. It's not just about one man's comeback either, there's a whole community fighting for justice woven into the story, which gives the film some real emotional weight.

Sing Geetham – Netflix (July 9)

This one's a bit different, a fantasy musical comedy where a strange curse forces an entire village to speak only in song. Directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, the story slowly peels back some long-buried family secrets while keeping things light with music and comedy along the way.

Parmila & Co – ZEE5 (July 10)

Jayaram and Urvashi share the screen again after more than 20 years, and this time it's for a black comedy thriller directed by Pandiraaj. The plot kicks off when a man accused of harassing the youngest daughter in a family turns up dead, and suddenly everyone in the household looks like a suspect. It mixes genuine laughs with a mystery that keeps you guessing about who did it right up to the end.

Land of Football – JioHotstar (July 10)

This one skips the usual sports-hero angle altogether. It's a Malayalam documentary series about Kerala's long love affair with football, going back seven decades of local tournaments, die-hard fans and village traditions. It's really a portrait of how the game became part of the state's identity, not just a highlight reel.

Balti – SonyLIV (July 10)

Shane Nigam headlines this Malayalam-Tamil action drama built around the sport of kabaddi. His character Udhayan gets tangled up with a powerful financier, and things go downhill fast from there. His path back to the kabaddi court ends up being about more than just the game, it's really his shot at redemption.
