Evil Dead Burn to The East Palace: Every Horror Movie and Show Releasing in July 2026

Not sure if it's a case of the recency bias talking, or we're seriously getting some good horror movies and shows in 2026. The success around Obsession, Backrooms, Widow's Bay means more we should expect more from the genre in the second half of the year.

And as if October has switched places with July, we have Evil Dead Burn resurrecting Bruce Campbell's cult franchise in theatres, on OTT we've Malayalam-film Muthassi and K-horror The East Palace playing. And that's not the end of the horror releases in July 2026. It is just a proof that horror doesn't clock out for summer.

Evil Dead Burn

The latest standalone chapter in the iconic demonic franchise Evil Dead, this highly anticipated blood-soaked release sees a new unsuspecting family dealing with the Necronomicon and ancient curses.

Night Nurse

The Devil's Mouth 

When: July 29, 2026

Where: Prime Video

Directed by Jeff Wadlow, the movie follows five college friends in Thailand who become trapped in a remote, submerged cave system with a deadly predator.

Lockbox

When: July 3, 2026

Directed by Daniel Stamm and starring Carla Gugino and Lou Taylor Pucci who was in Evil Dead finds himself once more dealing with an archaic book that unleashes evil. The English language film adapts a fan favourite Knifepoint Horror Podcast story, adapted by Emmy-winning playwright Justin Yoffe from podcast creator Soren Narnia’s original story.
