THE BRIDE

A gothic romance drawn from Bride of Frankenstein, set in 1930s Chicago, with Jessie Buckley as a murdered woman brought back to life and Christian Bale as the monster who asked for her. Penélope Cruz, Annette Bening, and Jake Gyllenhaal round out the stacked cast.

HOPPERS

Directed by the producer of Inside Out, this one is an animated sci-fi comedy with John Hamm in the voice cast. I’d say its even worth it without the kids.

CHARAK: FAIR OF FAITH

Anjali Patil and Subrat Dutta in a film set around a traditional festival where belief and endurance start blurring into each other. This is probably the weirdest pick of the month.

REMINDERS OF HIM

A woman gets out of prison after five years and tries to rebuild a life in the town where she accidentally killed her boyfriend. Colleen Hoover co-wrote the screenplay from her own novel, with Vanessa Caswill directing.

DHURANDHAR: THE REVENGE

The sequel promises Ranveer Singh's character pursuing something unfinished, Arjun Rampal back as the threat, Sanjay Dutt entering the picture, and the question of Bade Sahab still hanging in the air.

TOXIC: A FAIRYTALE FOR GROWNUPS

Yash is back, playing a dual role as a gangster running a drug cartel in coastal Goa. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, with Kiara Advani and Nayanthara alongside him. It opens the same day as Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which is either very brave or very stupid.

PROJECT HAIL MARY

Ryan Gosling wakes up on a spacecraft alone with no memory. He figures out he's Earth's last shot at survival, later meets alien he names Rocky. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller directed, Drew Goddard wrote it, Andy Weir wrote the novel it's based on. It’s possibly the best film of the month.
