Smart glasses are back in the spotlight once more. For better or worse, these AI-powered spectacles never seem to go out of fashion, whether you’re at home or navigating the urban jungle. Work, gaming, AR, XR, everyday life—they promise to do it all the moment you put them on.

There’s plenty happening in this sector from the technology angle as well. Meta, which has long led the smart glasses charge, is expected to drop its consumer-ready smart glasses—currently codenamed Hypernova—with a built-in display in September. Reports also suggest that Samsung will finally enter the arena and launch its first smart glasses next year, complete with cameras, microphones and speakers in a bid to take on Meta.
