Smart gear can help turn travel friction into flow. Essentially, these are quality-of-life upgrades for diverse travel experiences — for work or for leisure. Our selection of devices – from the new releases to refreshed classics – cuts hassle, keeps you powered, augments your experience and helps you enjoy the trip more.

Aerial Perspectives

Drone photography has been around for a while a now but hindered by bulky controllers and regulatory restrictions. The new DJI Neo 2 weighs just about 150 grams, bypasses many registration requirements and eliminates the controller entirely.

The Neo is designed to launch and land from the user's palm and create 4K high-quality aerial shots of your adventures. Plus, its omnidirectional obstacle sensing and gestures such as gesture control make it effortless for beginners.

While the outdoor enthusiasts and riders prefer action cameras like GoPro and Insta360 to shoot their activities, a drone adds a different perspective to your family outings, travel experiences, as well as outdoor sports.

No Baggage to Carry

Arista Vault, an Indian smart luggage start-up, offers a wide portfolio of smart suitcases with advanced anti-theft features that can be tracked in real-time with live location updates on your phone. They also come with proximity audio alerts so that your bag rings when it arrives at the airport’s baggage reclaim belt.

But that’s not all. You can pick up the company’s top variants – Jarviz or Follow Me – that you can ride as well! Hop on to your suitcase and effortlessly navigate to your boarding gate on the far end of the terminal. Additionally, your suitcase follows you automatically, leaving your hands free to hold on to your passport and last-minute coffee through your airport hustle.

Viewing Parties

Whether you’re camping under the stars or hosting a meeting abroad or just want a hotel room movie night, portable projectors bring big-screen experiences wherever you go, blending convenience with entertainment.

The new-age projectors are self-sustained – powered by Google TV with built-in speakers – and hence do not need to be connected to a laptop.

Soundcore Nebula Capsule

The Soundcore Nebula Capsule is a compact, soda-can–sized portable projector that delivers big-screen entertainment anywhere — and can slip easily into a backpack or carry-on. However, if you mostly go for road trips, you might want to check out Lumio Arc projectors (or the fancier XGIMI MoGo 4) that can easily find a nook in the boot of your car and offer a far capable communal viewing experience.

Sleep Better

Sleep deprivation is the enemy of the business traveller and the vacationer alike. Ozlo Sleepbuds play engineered audio loops (pink noise, cascading water, rusting leaves) at frequencies specifically chosen to mask common sleep disruptors like snoring, the hum of the air conditioner, or traffic.

These earbuds fundamentally differ from ANC headphones — instead of attempting to cancel noise, they use noise masking which is superior for a restful sleep.

Unlike the older Bose Sleepbuds (Ozlo is founded by former Bose engineers), the Ozlo pair also allows for streaming music/content via Spotify or Audible before fading into the masking sounds. Plus, the sensors within the buds track sleep stages and head movement, providing a sleep quality score for the user once they are up.

Heads-up Travel

2025 has ushered in a new paradigm of heads-up travel without disengaging from the moment. The second generation of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses has successfully bridged the gap between fashion and functionality — with a significantly improved battery life.

Ray-Ban Meta Sunglasses

Ray-Ban Meta glasses (Gen 2) pack in a 12MP ultra-wide camera optimized for the first-person perspective allowing travellers to document their journey exactly as they see it, leaving their hands free.

There’s also the integration of multimodal Meta AI that helps you ask questions like translating a sign or sharing the history of a building. The glasses analyse the visual feed and provide answers via the open-ear speakers turning into a real-time, context-aware guide, removing the need to constantly look up information on a phone.
