Here's What Menswear Will Look Like This Summer

Ease, colour, and proportion define the new rules of men’s style

It may be the year of the Cloud Dancer, but menswear this summer is all about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and asking what you’re willing to experiment with. The past few seasons were dominated by restraint, safe palettes, predictable silhouettes, and a kind of polished minimalism that started to feel repetitive. That phase is done now, thankfully. What’s emerging now is more fluid, more expressive, and at times deliberately excessive take on fashion. Think flowy tailoring, colour that actually says something about you, and accessories that no longer there because conventions require it.

Menswear Fashion Trends To Explore This Summer

Everything said and done, we have looked into the runways, the TV shows and pop culture codes to see which way the fashion pendulum swings this summer. Here are some of the trends to dip your toes into.

Pinstripes Go Soft (And Everywhere)

Pinstriped shirts have already taken over wardrobes across the country in the past few months, and there’s no slowdown in sight. This time, however, we ditch rigid boardroom shirts for something far more relaxed and expressive, with softer tailoring and unexpected colour pairings doing the heavy lifting. The runways agree: at Louis Vuitton, dusty turquoise chinos with cinnamon stripes set the tone, while Prada and Dries Van Noten reinforced how stripes can feel playful.

The Rise Of The Man Bag

Thanks to Jacob Elordi’s relentless bag advocacy, bags are no longer deemed too feminine in menswear (finally!). The weekender, in particular, has emerged as the defining accessory for the season. Dries Van Noten’s sculpted leather versions in peach brown and slate blue capture that balance between retro nostalgia and forward-thinking design.

It's Time For Braided Belts

Speaking of Jacob Elordi, his all-Bottega look from the Euphoria trailer has already generated some buzz, and given that this will be a very Euphoria summer this time around, we can only expect the braided belt to go viral.

Liquid Layering Takes Over

Summer 2026 will lean heavily into fluid silhouettes and layered dressing. Think loose blazers, wide trousers, and fabrics that move with the body. Ziggy Chen stands out here, with linen-heavy layering and earthy tones that build depth without looking overworked.

Shorter Shorts And Oversized Bermudas

Hemlines are moving up, down and every other way. Micro shorts channel a seventies energy, seen at Dries Van Noten under Julian Klausner, where prints and proportions felt intentionally provocative. At the same time, brands like Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Prada, and Wales Bonner offered a more refined take with tailored short shorts. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Bermudas are getting wider and more architectural, and of course, the credit goes to that menswear show by Dior Men under JW Anderson.

Prints Are All The Rage Now

It’s time to announce that we are officially out of the quiet luxury era. Prints are bold, chaotic, and occasionally surreal, and we are all in. Prada, KidSuper, and Line Outline have all leaned into warped graphics, exaggerated florals, and clashing colour stories that somehow work. The point isn’t to overwhelm here, but to inject some personality after the beige downpour we have been seeing during the pandemic.

Blues To Lift You Out Of Your Blue

Goodbye orange, blue has emerged as the defining colour of the season (with bits of Cloud Dancer White, of course). Dries Van Noten and Willy Chavarria pushed vivid aqua tones in their Spring summer ‘26 collection, while Tom Ford explored glossy, light blue tailoring. Closer home, designers like Payal Pratap, Abraham & Thakore, Rahul Mishra, and Pawan Sachdeva worked across denim, eveningwear, and tailored pieces in varying shades of blue and white.
