5 Menswear Trends For 2025, As Seen At Moscow Fashion Week

All the newest updates you need to transform your look for 2025

By Saurav Bhanot | LAST UPDATED: NOV 19, 2025

Let’s start with a confession: I had no clue Moscow was brimming with fashion!

Before my visit, the city was nothing more than the capital of Russia, the home of Vladimir Putin, the place that houses the Kremlin. A cold city I didn’t care much about – my touristy ambitions were always to visit St. Petersburg anyway.

But having just gotten back from a three-day sojourn at the Moscow Fashion Week, I’m completely mesmerised by Russian fashion, and the men and women responsible for it. Someone needs to start a petition to name Moscow as the official fashion capital of some part of the world, for sure. Or maybe I should do the honours? Let’s leave that for another time.

For now, let me take you through the best of menswear, as was on display at Moscow Fashion Week 2025. There was a lot to see, enjoy, and appreciate. And there was a lot of opportunity to take copious notes and come back with a list of exciting new menswear trends that I could chronicle for all of you. So without further delay, let’s get to it, shall we?

Long Coats

The length of your coats has been officially announced, and it’s supposed to be reaching your ankle if not your toes. Gone are the days when winter coats (and summer ones!) were meant to be reaching your knees. The designers at Moscow Fashion Week went all out in their designs, dressing the models in coats that could’ve been the entire outfit, to be fair.

There are coats and then there are coats, and you’ve now got to reach out for the latter.

Oversized Blazers & Jackets

The runways of Moscow Fashion Week have spoken in favour of oversized jackets and designers have taken the adage and run to town with it. The bigger your fit, the better you’ll look, and that’s what the ramp was screaming. The next time you’re out looking for a blazer or jacket for yourself, do make sure it’s oversized.

When styling these big boys, the one thing to remember would be to keep the rest of the look well-fitted. Unless you’re aiming for the 90s rapper look, in case of which, you do you, man!

Slutty Sressing

Remember how we asked you to never stop dressing slutty? Well... now the world agrees too. Short shorts, see-through shirts, no shirts under a blazer, see-through pants, craftly cut jackets, designers showed it and more, in full flow. The new mantra in menswear seems to be – if you’ve got it, then flaunt it.

If you’re not too sure how to go about pulling it off, we’d say start slow. Don’t go with something dramatic, at first. A sleeveless t-shirt here, some slow shorts slowly inching upwards there, and you’ll soon find your sweet-yet-slutty spot.

Slouchy Trousers

As most people had predicted after the ouster of skinny jeans, trousers too have gone the big and baggy route. And might we add, rightfully so. It’s 2025 and the new way to wear your trousers is to keep them not well-fitted.

The slouchy pants trend is rather easy to explore – be it at work or play, they make for great wear. They look good on almost all legs and with summer approaching fast, they’re also weather friendly. Try them out in all kinds of fabrics and shades. And don’t forget to bid those slim-fit trousers a sweet good-bye for now.

(Faux) Leather

It’s a fabric that’s as divisive now as it was back in the 90s when Ross famously struggled with taking out his leather pants in Friends. Yet it keeps coming back in style because, to be honest, the inherent sex appeal of leather just can’t be denied.

As per the shows at Moscow Fashion Week, it’s back again in 2025 and we’re going to have to embrace it in full flow. Pants, shirts, jackets... it’s time to wear ‘em all. Leather or faux, that’s the only question worth asking!
