The trajectory of men's tailoring has been evolving. And today, there are a wide gamut of options to choose from: Trad armour-like suits or the new loose, louch-ey and drapey versions, boxy voluminous tailoring, or what we’re seeing (and very much liking) here—the updated men’s shorts suit. It’s the perfect way to sartorially transit through seasons. So, shelve those heavy tweeds and go lightweight, without skimping on the slickness. Design details like the minimalistic concealed closure, flap pockets and peak lapel keep the jacket looking sharp, while on the technical side—the jacket is half-lined (instead of the bulky inner structure), is a silk blend in seersucker—which is essentially a fabric that’s woven in a special way to create a bumpy, wrinkled texture that makes it inherently breathable and airy: all features that keep you cool while imparting a structured look.

Jacket with buttoned collar, ₹3,20,000, shorts, ₹1,35,000, both by Dior
