How To Get Refreshed In Ten Minutes
Your out-of-bed-and-out-the-door grooming routine
Fora man, time is of utmost importance. How long can he hold a plank? How much longer he’ll take to get to work? Can he last long enough in bed? Will Virat Kohli last long enough on the field to help India win? Those pertinent life-altering questions forever running in every man’s head, the answers of which are rarely simplistic. It’s all about time and how much or little you need. Like it is even with your grooming routine. Before you leave for work in the morning or right before stepping out in the evening. You don’t want to take long, right? Not longer than 10 minutes.
Start your day (or evening) by dipping your face in a bucket of ice. Or rub ice cubes all over it. It’s great for depuffing, yes, but will also dry out excess oil, leaving you with a glow few other products can better. For some reason you can’t do that, just splash some cold water on your face. You could also do a headstand if you know how to do it—nothing works better to give you a glow, awaken your mind and leave you feeling fresh and agile. If that’s too much, just use eye patches for 10 minutes—your under-eye area will thank you.
While we’re at it, that’s all the time you need to use a sheet mask as well. Whether you’re under slept or exhausted after a long day at work, a good sheet mask will rejuvenate your face. One with ingredients like Vitamin C and niacinamide are great to give yourself an instant glow while a mask with caffeine shall work at depuffing your face. Or you could try one with ample hyaluronic acid to provide a good dose of moisture to your cheeks, forehead and nose.
Once you’re done with that, pick up a concealer and ‘fix’ any part of your face that’s not working for you. Bags under your eyes, unwanted zits or marks can all be carefully hidden with the right concealer, leaving you looking your glowing best. Now, the thing about a concealer is that it needs to match your skin tone and undertone. If you’re trying to cover marks or blemishes, ensure the shade is exactly that of your skin tone but if it’s to hide dark circles, go for a shade or two lighter, for you want to brighten that area.
Lastly, check for chapped lips before stepping out and use a lip balm if needed. Do up your hair, maybe, or fix them up at the very least. Then, take another look in the mirror. No, you won’t see a totally different being, but you will find yourself staring at a fresher you. How’s that for a fresh start, all under 10 minutes?
