Have These Drinks Every Morning To Help Detox Your Kidneys & Liver
Give your day a healthy start!
The sun is shining (for most part of the year), and so awakens your body and soul (the latter not necessarily). Every morning. Day after day. Whether or not you’ve slept well. Or enough. You get out of bed albeit slowly, unsure. Lazing in your head if not truly. What’s the first thing you do? Grab some tea or coffee? What a pity. Why drink something that’s only going to up your adrenaline – because that’s not what your body needs – when you can have for yourself a tall glass of detox?
What you drink first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, matters so much more than you’d like to believe. It gets your digestive juices flowing, wakes your body up without a jolt and most importantly, helps detoxify both your liver and kidneys. And wouldn’t you rather have that over some caffeine which you shouldn’t be having on an empty stomach anyway?
Morning Drinks to Detox Kidneys & Liver
Warm Lemon Water (with or without Honey)
It’s the classic tip you must have heard every fitness influencer and celebrity share as part of their morning routine. And while jury is still out on the many other supposed benefits of having warm water with lemon and/or honey first thing in the morning, what’s certain is that it most certainly helps detoxify your liver and kidneys by flushing out toxins and supporting the functioning of these organs.
Beetroot Juice
The thing about beetroot is that it is truly that good for you! And among its many health benefits is its ability to help detoxify your liver and kidneys, since it’s packed with antioxidants that support both bile flow in the body and the enzyme activities in your liver. All the more reason for you to start your day with fresh beetroot juice – you could add carrots or apple to it as well, as the famous ABC (apple-beetroot-carrot) juice that most celebs swear by.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Not the most palatable option on the list, yes, but there’s a reason it’s such a legend, or is everyone buying into it? Either way, having apple cider vinegar – all by itself or mixed in water with some honey – will definitely work towards improving the health of your liver and kidneys. It’s known to cleanse both organs and also improve your pH balance, supposedly.
Green Juice
Take all the greens and whip up into a juice – how's that for some morning madness? On a serious note, turning spinach, cilantro, parsley, cucumber and other greens of your choice is probably one of the healthiest things to consume to help flush out excessive metals from your body, thereby supporting the health of your liver and kidneys.
PS: You could always add things to your green juice such as amla, coconut water and even collagen powder for some extra fabulousness.
Ginger + Turmeric Tea
If you’re going to have a tea, making it one with no caffeine but lots of goodness for your liver and kidneys. All you’ve got to do is boil ginger slices in water and add some turmeric to it. Drink it like a tea and feel its anti-inflammatory properties work wonders for your liver and kidneys.
Coconut Water with Mint & Lime
When all else fails, and you’d like to keep your mornings fuss-free, you can always rely on coconut water. It’s nature’s miracle worker – gives you electrolytes, hydrates, flushes all toxins and your kidneys and liver love it all. Adding mint and lime to it further ups the health benefits and also adds a fun taste, almost like a virgin pina colada, if you must.
