It's Almost Time For The Release Of The Family Man Season 3
Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur join Manoj Bajpayee in the show's new season
You’d think it hasn’t been this long, but it has indeed been 4 years since the last season of Amazon Prime Video’s much-loved The Family Man.
Featuring Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role, the show’s second season featured an incredible Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the main antagonist, facing off against Bajpayee’s Srikant Tiwary, as he went about trying to stop a military resistance in Sri Lanka. Which was inspired by the infamous Tamil Tigers, one would like to believe. Along with this, Tiwary was also ‘battling’ his own marital issues, with his wife Suchitra (Priyamani) and her friendship with Arvind (Sharad Kelkar). Also, there were the troubles caused by his children. Phew!
How does Mr. Tiwary manage to do it all, right? Well... not without any trouble, and Bajpayee’s incredible performance has ensured the show’s been only getting better with each season.
Hence, the excitement for the much-awaited third season. Which has been in the making for way too long, to be fair.
But there’s much to cheer about as it’s almost, yes, almost time for season 3!
In an earlier glimpse, Prime Video had revealed new cast members joining the show this season, so we won’t be giving any spoilers by saying that Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur are joining The Family Man in this season 3. What are they going to be doing, we don’t know as yet. But there’s enough and more buzz suggesting that Ahlawat shall be the season’s principal antagonist, and we just can’t wait.
With Paatal Lok (arguably one of the finest Indian OTT originals), Ahlawat as anyway cemented his status as streaming’s numero uno, and it’ll be quite a sight to have him go against Bajpayee, one of the country’s finest acting talents.
Not much is known about this third season yet. But if we’ve learnt anything about The Family Man it is to expect anything and everything but not the obvious.
The last season ended on a cliff-hanger around China, remember? So maybe that’s where this new season is headed? We’ll have to wait some more, especially since the folks at Prime Video ain’t revealing anything before the release date!
What they have released in this announcement video is the third season’s release date. It’s November 21 which is right around the corner.
