The 2025 Formula One World Championships are underway and it’s a great time to revisit the 2010 Asif Kapadia classic about one of the sport’s legendary icons. Before his tragic death at the age of 34, the three-time F1 champion and Brazilian champion redefined professional racing at the highest level. Asif Kapadia’s Senna documentary turned archival footage into pure adrenaline, stripping away talking heads to let the legendary racer’s life and tragic fate unfold with the urgency of a thriller.

The past few months have been entirely about A Complete Unknown, James Mangold’s biopic of the folk-rock icon Bob Dylan.
