Period murders, psychological puzzles and eccentric detectives
What turns a brilliant but difficult mind into the detective the world knows? Young Sherlock leans into that question, tracing the early experiences that shape Sherlock Holmes into the razor-sharp observer he later becomes. Instead of presenting the finished genius, the series digs into the making of one: the influences, encounters, and mysteries that push him toward the cold logic and relentless curiosity that define the character.
If the show left you wanting more stories driven by unusual investigators, psychological intrigue, and period settings, there are plenty of series that scratch the same itch. From crime solving influenced by early psychology to clergymen investigators and modern reinventions of classic detectives, these shows carry the same fascination with minds that refuse to stop chasing the truth.

Expect atmospheric period detail, café culture, and a slow-burn mystery structure that leans heavily on character dynamics.
