Obsession OTT Release Date In India: When And Where To Watch The Uncut Horror Film

Some wishes are better left unfulfilled. That is the unsettling idea at the heart of Obsession, the supernatural horror film that is returning to Indian screens in a version audiences have been waiting to see. Directed by Curry Barker, the film will arrive on streaming with its original uncut version just in time for Halloween, bringing its disturbing take on romance, desire and control to viewers at home.

Obsession will premiere on JioHotstar on October 30, 2026, at 7 PM IST. The film will be available through The Peacock Hub, the platform's dedicated destination for the title. Viewers can choose between English and Hindi, according to the streaming announcement.

The upcoming release is notable because it offers the film in its original uncut form. Following its theatrical run in India, viewers could access the movie through digital rental options, including Prime Video. The new streaming premiere gives audiences another way to watch the horror film, with the uncut edition being the main draw. The timing also makes it a potential addition to Halloween weekend watchlists.

What Is Obsession About?

At the centre of Obsession is Bear, played by Michael Johnston, a young man who longs for Nikki, portrayed by Inde Navarrette, to return his feelings. When he encounters a mysterious object called the One Wish Willow, he sees a chance to change his romantic fortunes.

Bear makes a wish that Nikki will love him, and at first, it seems to have worked. But the affection he receives soon becomes frighteningly intense. What he imagined as the beginning of a perfect relationship develops into a nightmare, forcing him to confront the consequences of interfering with another person's feelings.

The film uses its supernatural premise to explore the darker side of attraction.

Obsession Movie Cast

Alongside Johnston and Navarrette, the cast features Cooper Tomlinson and Megan Lawless, among others. Barker serves as the film's writer and director, building the story around an apparently simple wish that spirals into increasingly disturbing consequences.

For people who enjoy horror rooted in recognisable human behaviour as much as supernatural scares, Obsession offers a premise that is both unsettling and thought-provoking. With its uncut version arriving on October 30, Indian audiences can revisit the film or experience it for the first time from home.
