Heads of State’s trailer dropped a few hours ago featuring Idris Elba, John Cena, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas and the trio seem to bring their A-games for the ultimate fun action-packed film. Who doesn’t love a good film on international relations and diplomacy right now?
Seems like Heads Of State will be combining our interest in diplomacy, America, and action for sprint through explosions, espionage, and unexpected alliance this June.
The film directed by Ilya Naishuller, is slated for its premiere on Amazon Prime Videos on July 2, 2025, and will depict the U.K Prime Minister (Idris Elba), U.S President (John Cena) take us on a never-before-seen ride.

But don’t expect the typical elements of a political comedy here, it’s more of banter and bullets kinda film. And there’s a fearless and smart MI6 agent involved in the midst of this, too!
What do we know from the trailer?
Diplomacy has never been so jacked guys. (John Abraham is an exception) If your idea of world peace, delegation involves close-door negotiations and gentle handshakes, Heads of State (2025) is diplomacy on creatine, protein, and power suits.
So, when the UK Prime Minister (Idris Elba) and US President (John Cena) have a public rivalry that risks their countries’ alliance, the two unexpectedly find themselves become targets of a powerful enemy and are forced to rely on each other as they go on a wild, multinational run.
Allied with Noel Bisset, a brilliant MI6 agent (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), they must find a way to thwart a conspiracy that threatens the free world.

Chopra-Jonas’s character is scene-stealer-in waiting. The trailer seems to show her bringing the balance to the two actors’ brawler bromance and a few stunts.
In a genre that’s mainly male oriented and positioned with all the punchlines and punches, the queen of action is the wildcard fitting into the scenes well.
