Kapoor steps into the role of Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a decorated army officer who returns home after years of service. But retirement brings little rest. His town is now under the shadow of an illegal sand mining mafia, where fear dictates daily life and silence is the norm. So one can expect rage, violence and some kickass dialogues.

The trailer paints a stark picture of a region overtaken by unchecked power, setting up a classic battle between integrity and intimidation. At the heart of the conflict is Prince, played by Aditya Rawal. His face-offs with Arjun hint at high-voltage confrontations that will likely define the film’s action arc. One striking moment from the trailer captures Arjun’s unwavering code of honour, reinforcing the idea that while he may have left the battlefield, the soldier within him remains very much alive.

But Subedaar isn’t just about power struggles. The trailer also reveals a more intimate layer — Arjun’s strained relationship with his daughter Shyama. This emotional thread suggests the film will explore the challenges of returning home after a life shaped by discipline and duty. Can a man trained for war rediscover softness within his own family?

The ensemble cast adds further depth, with Radhikka Madan, Saurabh Shukla, Mona Singh and Faisal Malik playing key roles. Written by Suresh Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekar, the film is backed by Opening Image Films Production and Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network.

According to the official synopsis, the story follows Arjun Maurya as he navigates civilian life while confronting enemies within his own community to protect his home and loved ones.

Set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from March 5, 2026, Subedaar looks poised to deliver a potent mix of action, emotion and old-school cinematic drama with Anil Kapoor once again at the center of it all.
