Dorothy OTT Release: Where To Watch Karthik Subbaraj's Movie Starring Keerthy Suresh Post Theatrical Run

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj and marking his tenth film, Dorothy is all set to release on OTT platforms after its theatrical release on the 25th of September. Here is everything we know about Dorothy OTT release date:

According to a report in Filmibeat and other publications, Dorothy will stream on Netflix. The streamer is said to be named as the film's post-theatrical digital partner in the opening credits, which suggests the deal was settled before release. According to reports, Netflix also paid a high price for the rights.

According to reports, the film will begin streaming on October 23, 2026, less than a month after its theatrical debut. This date has not been confirmed by Netflix or the makers. Some listings still show the date as to be announced, so the date could change.

The timing fits industry habit. Tamil films often reach streaming four to seven weeks after release, which puts late October to mid-November in the likely range.

About Dorothy

Dorothy stars Keerthy Suresh in the title role, with Sananth and Rishikanth as two childhood friends in rural Tamil Nadu in the early 1990s. Years after their bond is shaken by a compassionate woman who challenges the prejudice around them, one of them is sent to find the other. The journey that follows brings caste, violence and guilt to the surface. Although it is often called a crime drama, it works more as a friendship story, helped by Ilaiyaraaja's score, his 1,540th.

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before its theatrical release, and it has divided viewers since. Some critics have praised its boldness, while others found its message uneven.

Dorothy Box Office Performance

The film has had a modest but steady theatrical run since opening on September 25. According to trackers, it earned about ₹11 crore net in India within eleven days, with a second-week dip after a promising first weekend.
