School bullies may be the villains of Teach You a Lesson, a new Korean drama set to release on Netflix. But K-drama fans can't contain their excitement over Kim Moo-Yul who plays a Na Hwa-jin, a supervisor for the Educational Rights Protection Bureau known for using intense, unconventional methods to discipline bullies and might just be a villain for the bullies in school.
Based on a webtoon Get Schooled, the upcoming Netflix K-series will focus on restoring teacher authority in broken school system directed by Hong Jong Chan, known for Netflix’s Mr. Plankton and Juvenile Justice.
At the center of the series which will also star Im Han-rim, played by Jin Ki-joo, and Bong Geun-dae, portrayed by Pyo Ji-hoon, is the fictional Teachers' Rights Protection Bureau, an elite agency formed to intervene whenever students, educators or even parents push beyond acceptable limits.
The job is quite simple and straightforward: protect victims and restore order in troubled schools. Their methods, however, are anything but conventional.
In the newly released teaser the Bureau's intimidating core team is introduced. Led by the lead investigator Na Hwa-jin (Kim Moo-yul), alongside Choi Gang-seok (Lee Sung-min), the team operates like vigilantes confronting violent bullies head-on. Both Sun-min and Moo-yul would be reuniting on-screen with director Hong-Jong-chan and previously collaborated on Juvenile Justice.
Teach You A Lesson wastes no time establishing the show's brutal tone. The K-drama depicts hallways as battlegrounds where intimidation is met with force an the Bureau's agents appear willing to cross traditional boundaries in pursuit of justice. Of course, bullies are villains but in a way these investigators are no less.
Their need to be just almost feels heroic to the point they may even seem like superhero figures except there are government badges for capes. Written by Lee Nam-kyu who has previously worked on Daily Dose of Sunshine, the high-stakes action-drama, Teach You A Lesson is expected to drop on June 5, 2026 on Netflix and is expected to be the most intense K-drama.
