Shahid Kapoor’s Sunday Routine Is Nothing Like You Would’ve Expected

When you’re a movie star, no two days are the same.
One day you’re performing stunts in a Mumbai studio and on the next, you’re in an exotic locale shooting for a brand. The day after, you’re running from pillar to post, trying to do the many things your publicist has lined up for you. No fixed schedules, no strict timings.
Which is why, when you get a Sunday all to yourself, you prefer spending it in your own unique way.
And for Shahid Kapoor, that ‘unique’ way is surprisingly simple.
When we caught up with the star at launch of the Delhi store of his new athleisure label, Athletifreak, he told us exactly how he likes his Sunday to be, and that includes “doing nothing” That discipline you associate with the actor and all the energy he exudes on screen? In his time off, he’d rather just laze around.

“I just lie around. I faff. I spend time with the family. Go for a bike ride!” The actor is quite the biker as is obvious from his social media posts where he can be seen with his gang of boys (including brother Ishaan Khatter and Kunal Kemmu) going for many biking trips in the mountains.
But he’s also a star who doesn’t go easy on gratitude, even on Sundays. “I enjoy the view from my house. Sit and look at the city that’s given my everything”.
Now, before you dismiss him as a man who isn’t about some fun, do note that Kapoor is quite the foodie. With a sweeter-than-sweet spot for Indian desserts.
“I have a big thing for something meetha. It could be gulab jamun. Or halwa. Even kada prasad. It’s my comfort food”. Nothing like kada prasad to get the actor in a great mood! “If I've had a long shoot day, and I’m tired, like those days when you feel like you’ve been hit by a bus, I have kada prasad and sleep like a baby. I wake up feeling guilty the next morning though, so I run to the gym & life’s great again!”
