Sorry Twihards, Robert Pattinson will not be remembered as "that vampire guy" like ever again. He has firmly closed his coffin on his Twilight fame and has buried the pale vamp bod under a mountain of brilliantly bizarre performances.

His latest performance as Mickey Barnes in director Bong Joon-Ho's sci-fi Mickey 17 deserve all the accolades, he so rightly is being showered with. As Mickey 17 and Mickey 18, Pattinson shows his in-depth understanding of the two distinct personalities leading to a screen-time that highlights his range as an actor. One is clueless, and tab bit slow. The other, dark and brooding.

Nothing can beat his nuanced acting prowess, nor anyone can get over the fact that we got not one but two Robs on the big screen- thanks to the writer of the original fictious novel, Edward Ashton for creating this futuristic society that depends on sacrificial clones. As expendable employee on the ice planet Niflheim, Mickeys are assigned dangerous tasks that almost always lead to his death, only to regenerate without losing his memory.

Pattinson is hands down the most interesting leading man working today. He has done the brooding behind the mask persona, the lumberjack wickie that loses his mind on a remote island, and the reprehensible elder brother in Safdie brothers' film. For a leading man who could have cashed in on his Twilight fame and stuck to being the romantic lead that girls throw themselves at, Rob Patt solidified his place as one of the brilliantly unpredictable and undeniably magnetic Hollywood lead.

Here are 5 performances (really hard pick though) that benchmark RPatz as one of the most intriguing actors:

Rey- The Rover (2014)

A slow-witted but oddly endearing drifter of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Pattinson's performance in The Rover one that is highly underrated. As the lost, tragic figure struggling to survive, Pattinson perfectly delivers a range that encompasses the vulnerability, rawness, and tragedy required of the character.

Bruce Wayne/Batman - The Batman (2022)

When Matt Reeves announced the iconic superhero, Batman, to be played by Robert Pattinson, the fans were unsure and that was the last time someone questioned the actor's acting brilliance. As the Dark Knight, who is moody, hates brightness, and always has smudged eyeliner, Pattinson was convincing vigilante who looked like he lived off of Red Bull day and night. But as Bruce Wayne, is socially awkward and cosntantly feeling the existential angst.

Connie Nikas- Good Time (2017)

Watching Pattinson go from being the loveable heartthrob to an insensitive thief who manipulate his specially abled brother to rob a bank in the neon-soaked movie. He is frantic, desperate for the money, then to save his life breaking the mirage that he isn't talented enough.

Ephraim Winslow - The Lighthouse (2019)

My G committed to madness in the fever-dreaming black and white film The Lighthouse starring alongside Willem Dafoe. Losing the grip on reality on a small remote island that only has a lighthouse that they guard day and night; Pattinson threw himself in the role as devil possessed fish which is purely cinematic and awe-worthy.

Monte - High Life (2018)

High Life is an arthouse film that captures the full-on existential crisis of the protagonist, Monte, who is trapped with a doomed crew and in deep space. Pattinson shines in the sci-fi film as the character who feels restrained yet constantly tussles between tenderness toward his daughter and brutality of the mission.
