Ranbir Kapoor is many things – actor par excellence, doting husband and father, heartthrob of a million people, sneaker aficionado and the list could go on. But is he an able entrepreneur capable of making his own lifestyle brand a runaway success?
It’s 2025 and Kapoor has started his own brand. ARKS is the actor’s attempt to provide elevated essentials to the market and what’s on offer are sneakers, hoodies, cargos, t-shirts, basically everything that you’ve come to love about Kapoor’s personal style. It’s an interesting idea, sure. The actor has been quite the understated style icon for a while, so it was certainly time for him to share his take with the rest of the world. He’s never really done full-fledged clothing brand endorsements either so all eyes will be on this one, for sure.
But ARKS isn’t the first time a mainstream actor is launching their own brand. In fact, the list of celebrity brands in idea is surprisingly long already. Some of have worked, the others haven’t. Quite like their movies, Bollywood stars obviously can’t guarantee entrepreneurial success either!

Though the brand was launched as a lifestyle one, so far, 82°E has been all about skincare and no one is complaining. Deepika Padukone has in the past also experimented with a clothing brand – All About You- which didn’t strike a chord with consumers though.

Intentionally spelled the ‘wrong’ way, Virat Kohli’s streetwear brand has been around for a while as well. It’s high street in terms of pricing and does remarkably well with its target audience.
