The Big Hindi Movies Releasing In The Next Few Months

A lot of still left to be seen!

By Saurav Bhanot | LAST UPDATED: SEP 26, 2025

Why does it feel like 2025 is both passing by way too quickly and at a snail's pace?

It's time for August to wrap up as well, and we're looking at just 4 more months before it's time to ring in another new year. But if we were to analyse what's happened so far, in terms of movies and the men & women making them, it won't be a stretch to say that this year has only been a continuation of that oft-repeated bad patch that the film industry is going through. Several big tick movies have failed to fare well at the box-office, stars who have had releases haven't had much to cheer for, critics haven't been impressed with most things and the re-releases of hits from the past have helped theatres sail through between too-far-apart hit movies.

And yet, we're not given up. Faith is the word and we're holding on to it. Strong. Sincere. Refusing to give up. Even if the movies are making us increasingly cynical. Because what else is there, anyway, right?

There are the other movie releases lined up for the rest of the year though. Maybe they'll give us something to write home about. Or at least enough entertainment to make that trek to the theatres worth it. Here's a list of Hindi movie releases for the rest of 2025 that could be major winners at the box-office, or so one hopes.

Upcoming Hindi Movies In 2025

Param Sundari

North-South love stories aren't a new concept but we're hoping this Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor starrer has some new tricks up its sleeve. Considering the music of the film has become quite popular, the film certainly has the possibility of raking in the moolah. Provided, of course, it's just as entertaining as it is promising to be. It's a Maddock Films' production so we're hoping it's good.

Baaghi 4

Tiger Shroff is back with the fourth edition of this franchise, the last one of which was quite a disaster. But since the first two worked, maybe it makes sense to make another one? It's also the debut of former Miss Universe, Harnaaz Sandhu, as she marks her entry into the movies alongside Sanjay Dutt and Sonam Bajwa in the movie.

Jolly LLB 3

What happens when Jolly 1 and Jolly 2 come together? We're about to find out when Jolly LLB 3, starring both Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar, comes out next month. This comic caper also features Saurabh Shukla, the teaser for which has already created quite a stir. Also reprising their roles would be the female leads of the earlier two movies, Amrita Rao and Huma Qureshi.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari

When Varun Dhawan does comedy, it either goes really well or is an outright disaster. We're hoping this one is the former, simply because the world could do with some laughs and a good time at the movies, isn't it?

Janhvi Kapoor is his leading lady in this movie which also stars Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra.

Thama

In Maddock's horror-comedy universe, we trust!

At a time when every other big movie isn't quite working, Maddock Films have been producing one good movie after another, without backing on the able shoulders of big superstars either. Their next outing brings vampires to the forefront as if man-eating ghosts and wolves weren't fun enough already. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandana, Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Thama releases on Diwali, and it's been eagerly awaited already.

120 Bahadur

Farhan Akhtar and war movies have a long history. The man who directed Lakshya back in 2004 is now acting in one, this time based on the battle of Rezang La during the India-China war. It's never easy to recreate a moment of history, especially one involving our armed forces, but if the movie does manage to do a fair job, it'll definitely go down in history as other such movies.

Tere Ishk Mein

Dhanush is back with a Hindi film again and joins hands (third time's the charm) with Anand L Rai this time as well. Kriti Sanon is the female lead in this rage-filled love story, the teasers for which while not revealing much have certainly piqued interests with their anger and passion.

Alpha

The next entrants in the YRF Spy Universe are women which only makes sense since the boys haven't been doing such a good job off late anyway!

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari lead this spy thriller alongside Anil Kapoor as their boss and Bobby Deol as the dreaded antagonist. It's an important film for YRF, for they'll certainly be looking to win back their audiences' love after the not so good response to recently-released War 2. Alpha's final outcome will probably also decide the fate and future of their spy productions going forward, we're assuming.
