The first teaser introducing Lord Ram from Nitesh Tiwari directed ambitious epic Ramayana is out and nothing short of grandeur. The two minutes thirty two seconds Ramayana teaser gives us a peek into the what we can expect in part I of the epic tale starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama that's releasing this Diwali.
What Ramayana Teaser Hints At?
The curtains have finally lifted off on the first teaser of Namit Malhotra's Ramayana that unveils a world soaked in scale, symbolism, and reverence. We get a grand glimpse into the world of Ramayana and its iconic protagonist portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor who embodies the calm, composed and radiating strength of legendary Lord Ram.
Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the teaser depicts the emotionally grounded scope of the story through musical scores given by Oscar winning composers A.R Rahman and Hans Zimmer that quickly transport the audiences into the world of grandiose, heroism and scared story.
The teaser thoughtfully traces some of the most defining chapters in the life of Lord Rama. From his growing public adoration in his kingdom to deeply emotional moments that shape his journey. The teaser on YouTube captures his final meeting with his father and his subjects before leaving for 14 years of Vanvas- an exile in forest. The teaser also heightens the emotional scope by giving us the peek into a son detaching from his father in the scene where Lord Rama hears his aching father calling out his name.
Not only that, the teaser expands into the trials that follow - charting the legend's path through exile where he faces not only the harshness of the forest, but also the epic battles that come to define his destiny.
A visual spectacle nevertheless that will be screened in IMAX theatres in Diwali 2026, the cast of the greatest epic of all times includes Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Laxmana. The ensemble also includes Sunny Deol, Vivek Oberoi, and is backed by Prime Studios in collaboration with DNEG, and co-produced by Yash's Monster Mind Creations.
When Is Ramayana Coming Out?
Officially Ramayana is going to be released in two parts with the both releasing in Diwali in 2026 and 2027. The date of release is yet to be announced.
