After watching Nagabandham, a lot of viewers walked out impressed by Virat Karrna's performance and how the film looks and the world it builds. X user Aad!7 gave it 3 out of 5 stars: "#Nagabandham Review: A Grand Mythological Spectacle – 3/5 A visually stunning cinematic experience with an impactful background score that elevates several key moments. #ViratKarrna delivers a career-best performance, especially in the final 20 minutes where he completely owns the screen."

Upala KBR was even more enthusiastic in his Nagabandham review on Twitter and praised Abhishek Varma to the skies: "When your mind is blown after you just watched a visually spectacular movie like Nagabandham: The Secret Treasure! The massive scale, grander vision, rich production values and a movie that has the 3 E's which an audience wants. An Exciting. Engaging. Entertainer. Fultoo paisa vasool direction by Abhishek Nama."

Bharti Dubey landed in the same place, calling it a visually stunning, grand scale mythological adventure and praising Abhishek Nama and his team for pulling off an ambitious, VFX heavy spectacle. She also praised Virat Karrna in her post, "#ViratKarrna is the film's biggest surprise with a commanding screen presence and star-making performance.",

Plenty of viewers weren't buying it once the initial shine wore off. Kittu felt the film had real promise early on before it lost its way: "What's actually painful about watching this socio-fantasy is that it shows genuine promise in its first 40 minutes... before it hits you hard with loud screaming, over-the-top performances, poor CG, and a screenplay that's all over the place."

Mr.Cinema was blunter about his Nagabandham review on Twitter, posting, "I genuinely hope filmmakers stop making these kind of costume dramas centered around gods without having a compelling story or emotionally engaging drama to support them. Spectacle alone can never replace strong writing."
