Dhamaal 4 hit theatres today, and if the first round of tweets is anything to go by, Indra Kumar has managed to do something rare with this franchise: split the theatre right down the middle. Some viewers walked out grinning, calling it exactly the kind of loud, silly, family friendly fun the Dhamaal name has always promised. Others walked out unimpressed, saying the jokes do not land the way they used to and the story loses steam long before the credits roll. Take a first hand look at the Dhamaal 4 reviews (Twitter) and check what viewers had to say about the performances of Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and other cast members.

From "crazy", "stressbuster", "non-stop laughter" to "disaster", Dhamaal 4 reviews have been varied. In fact, Taran Adarsh called it "mazedaar" too. However, this kind of a divide in viewers isn't unusual for a fourth installment. By this point, people aren't just watching Dhamaal 4 as a film, they're watching it against memories of the first one, and nostalgia has a way of shaping how forgiving or unforgiving an audience feels. Take a look at what people are actually saying on X after catching the early shows.

Upala KBR came out of the film calling it a genuinely fun watch, describing it as an action comedy adventure that mixes emotional beats, a few solid twists and a treasure hunt plot that keeps things moving. Her verdict was that the film plays like a rollercoaster from start to finish, never really letting the energy dip.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, whose star ratings tend to move box office conversations, gave Dhamaal 4 a solid 3.5 stars. His one word review summed it up simply: "MAZEDAAR." He wrote that the first half has a good number of laugh out loud moments, but it's the post interval stretch where the film really picks up, with an emotional climax he felt worked well. His advice to anyone heading in was blunt: leave logic at the door, this is a straight up stressbuster.

Ravi Chaudhary went even further, handing the film 4 out of 5. He had plenty of praise for Ajay Devgn, pointing to his comic timing and how effortlessly he holds the screen. Riteish Deshmukh got a special mention too, with Chaudhary calling him one of the strongest comic actors working in Bollywood right now. His overall read was that the film delivers as a wholesome, feel good watch for the whole family.

Not everyone left the theatre happy though. A user going by Akkian had a very different take, arguing that some of the supporting cast ends up stealing focus from the leads in the wrong way. According to this viewer, the actors who actually got the biggest laughs were given the least screen time, while weaker comic bits were allowed to drag on far too long. The physical comedy in particular didn't land for them, and several scenes felt like they simply didn't need to exist.

Then there's Vinay Tiwari, who didn't hold back at all. His review called the film a straight up "Disaster." He wasn't a fan of Ajay Devgn's performance this time around, but he did carve out praise for the rest of the cast, singling out Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra for holding their own even as the film around them, in his opinion, fell apart.

Dhamaal 4 Storyline

The Dhamaal plot kicks off with a hunt for treasure that Shaitaan Singh supposedly buried a hundred years ago. A map turns up that seems to point everyone toward the letter W, until someone realises it might actually be an upside down M. That one mix up sends the whole gang spiralling into a chaotic chase full of wrong turns, jungle detours and the kind of over the top slapstick the series has built its name on.

Dhamaal 4 Cast

Indra Kumar returns to direct this fourth chapter, which follows directly on from Dhamaal (2007), Double Dhamaal (2011) and Total Dhamaal (2019). The cast brings back familiar faces including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra, alongside Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Esha Gupta and Vijay Patkar.
