After inter-team transfer November 2025, The IPL 2026 Auction was held in December 2025 in Abu Dhabi with 1,300 registered players and 369 shortlisted for bidding out of these, 77 players were sold. IPL Franchisees collectively spent over ₹237 crore. Most expensive player Cameron Green was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders at whopping price of ₹25.20 crore. Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana was sold at ₹18 crore.
