Blockheads

Blockheads is inspired by the soulful vibe of 1950s Japan and California’s counterculture movement. Here, high-fidelity music, coffee, and soulful Izakaya-style food merge in a warm, retro-modern space. The coffee here is by a Subko (a first for Gujarat), and the food a creative Izakaya-meets-Californian-bar menu vegetarian-forward fare. A few times every month, the café transforms into an intimate live music venue in collaboration with Compass Box Studio, spotlighting some of the most exciting local and touring musicians from across India.

The vinyl music here is jazz and classic rock. Guests may bring their vinyl with them, and a selection of records is regularly laid out to choose from. Every Tuesday from November to April, acoustic concerts take place. The focus of the F&B programme here is to develop new flavours with slow processes like fermentation, ageing, smoking and curing. Some dishes to try are the cured fish steak, black garlic tart, and mussels with distilled coriander, among others.
