Kanye West Is Really Performing In India Next Month
Everything you need to know about the concert
It’s confirmed y’all. Ye, or Kanye West, will perform in India for the first time on March 29, 2026, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
The announcement ends years of speculation around a possible India concert. While Ye has travelled to India before, including a reported ashram stay in 2009 and later trips linked to his fashion work, he has never performed here. That changes with this 60,000-capacity stadium date, at a venue that has increasingly become a stop for international tours and events since its post–Commonwealth Games overhaul.
If his global shows are anything to go by, this won’t be a small debut. Organisers say fans can expect large-scale visuals, detailed staging, and a setlist that pulls from across his career, from his Graduation era hits to newer material. The announcement, shared by District on their Instagram handle, quickly spread across social media, with fans already anticipating a rush for tickets. Remember Coldplay?
With 24 Grammy Awards to his name, Ye remains one of the most influential figures in modern hip-hop. Tracks like Stronger, Runaway, Praise God, and Flashing Lights continue to resonate with audiences, even as his public image has tanked considerably over the years. Accusations of sexual assualt, antisemitic rants and controversial comments on slavery and politics have lost him major brand partnerships and business relationships. In 2016, his Saint Pablo Tour was cut short, and planned shows in recent years have faced cancellations and controversy tied to his public statements. Earlier this year, the rapper published a public apology, where he addressed his past antisemitic remarks, spoke about his bipolar disorder diagnosis, and said he is working toward accountability. But then again, Ye apologises every time his album is about to release and goes back to his actions later.
The India concert is part of a wider international run. It follows shows in Mexico City and will be followed by a stadium performance in the Netherlands in June, his first European appearance in over a decade. Besides, with only one show announced in India so far, demand is expected to extend beyond the country, drawing fans from neighbouring regions and adding to the growing rush for tickets.
The timing also lines up with renewed focus on Bully, Ye’s long-delayed upcoming album, which is now reported to release on March 20 through Gamma, the independent music company he recently partnered with. He began recording the project more than three years ago, and it is expected to include appearances from his son, Saint West.
India, meanwhile, has been seeing more global stadium tours pass through. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium itself hosted one of the capital’s biggest hip-hop concerts last year, and recent international shows have seen strong demand and fast sell-outs. Ye’s debut performance adds to that momentum and signals India’s growing importance as a touring destination.
Tickets for the March 29 show will go on sale on February 18 at 4 pm IST via District by Zomato.
