Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan have teamed up for Udta Teer, a Hindi spy comedy that brings espionage, mistaken identity and humour together. Released in cinemas on October 23, 2026, the film is now on the big screen, but viewers who prefer watching movies at home are already looking for information about its digital premiere.
Here is everything we know so far
As of October 26, the makers have not announced an official OTT release date for Udta Teer. The film is currently running in theatres, and its eventual digital premiere will depend on the distribution agreement and the length of its theatrical run.
Hindi films frequently make their way to streaming services several weeks after their cinema debuts. However, this is not a fixed schedule, and there is no confirmed date for when audiences can watch Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's latest film from home.
Although December has been suggested as a possible streaming window by some online trackers, this remains an estimate rather than an announcement from the filmmakers.
Netflix has emerged as a possible streaming destination for Udta Teer, with reports pointing to its logo in the film's opening credits. However, neither Netflix nor the film's makers have officially confirmed the platform acquisition.
Consequently, viewers should wait for an announcement before treating Netflix as the confirmed destination. The film is not currently listed as available to stream in India, according to streaming availability listings.
Once the digital release is confirmed, viewers can check the selected platform for subscription requirements, language options and availability.
Exceeding expectations, Udta Teer opened at ₹4.10 crore and was boosted by positive word-of-mouth. The film picked up pace on Saturday with ₹7.25 crore, and as per Sacnilk, grew further on Sunday to collect ₹8.10 crore, taking its three-day total to a strong ₹19.45 crore.
Directed by Aakash A Kaushik in his directorial debut, Udta Teer follows a Pakistani spy who loses his memory and begins believing that he is an Indian counter-terrorism officer. The resulting confusion brings an unusual comic angle to a story involving espionage, shifting identities and national loyalties.
The premise combines the conventions of a spy thriller with the unpredictable situations of a comedy, giving the lead actors an opportunity to explore a different genre.
Alongside Khurrana and Ali Khan, the film features Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Mukul Dev, Suhail Nayyar, Raghubir Yadav, Brijendra Kala and Sandeep Anand.
Produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain, the film brings together Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment.
