The Bads of Bollywood Season 2: Everything We Know About The Aryan Khan Directorial

Bollywood’s favourite meta-satire is not done telling its story. The Ba***ds of Bollywood has been picked up for a second season, with Aryan Khan back in the director's chair for round two. Here’s everything we know so far.

A Quick Refresher on The Ba***ds of Bollywood Season 1

The Ba***ds of Bollywood premiered on Netflix on September 18, 2025, spanning seven episodes. It followed Aasmaan, an outsider chasing a career in Hindi cinema, as he navigated the industry's rivalries, power plays and family entanglements. In his first film, directed by Karan Johar, he acts opposite industry legend Ajay Talvar’s daughter Karishma Talvar, and the two fall in love. The season closed with Aasmaan and Karishma trying to run away together, aided by Parvaiz, with Ajay in pursuit, before a bizarre plot twist changed the direction entirely.

Aryan Khan created and directed the series, co-writing it with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan. Gauri Khan produced through Red Chillies Entertainment. 

Is The Bads of Bollywood Season 2 Confirmed?

Right now, it has been reported that season 2 will go on floors soon. Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment have not put out a statement, and the makers are yet to confirm anything publicly. What we do have is a trade report claiming that the show has moved from industry chatter into active planning, with a production window already locked in.

The Bads of Bollywood Season 2 Cast And Release Date

Every major actor from season one is expected to clock back in. Lakshya returns as Aasmaan Singh, the outsider at the centre of the show's Bollywood fable, opposite Sahher Bambba as his love interest-slash-stepsister Karishma Talvar. Bobby Deol reprises Ajay Talvar, Raghav Juyal is back as the comedic sidekick Parvaiz, and Anya Singh returns as Aasmaan’s manager Sanya. Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Manish Chaudhari and Rajat Bedi round out the returning names.

As of now, no premiere date has been announced yet, but we do know about the production schedule: shooting is reportedly set to begin in March 2027. That puts season two roughly a year and a half out from cameras rolling, which, by streaming math, would place Ba*** late 2027 or 2028 release at the earliest.

As of now, the plot remains a mystery, but going by where we left off, our Bollywood outsider’s second chapter will revolve around his new collaboration with the gangster, Gafoor (Arshad Warsi). What else happens, you’ll have to stay tuned to find out.
