After 13 years of waiting, the countdown is down to just 2 weeks. And Rockstar Games has marked the occasion by dropping 39 brand new GTA 6 screenshots, giving fans their freshest look yet at Vice City, its people, its strip clubs, and the chaos Jason and Lucia are about to cause. It is the kind of drop that makes the wait feel almost bearable, almost.
Alongside the screenshots, Rockstar’s real-world marketing blitz has only intensified, and Miami itself is starting to look less like a host city and more like Vice City’s real-life twin.
The fresh batch arrives on the heels of what’s believed to be GTA 6’s final trailer, released last month and now running almost non-stop on television since it first dropped online. These new screenshots build on that momentum, offering closer looks at the game’s world and the characters who inhabit it.
Rockstar’s marketing push has been aggressive with billboards, posters and bus decals carrying GTA branding spreading worldwide. Miami has clearly gotten the full treatment.
The Miami Heat’s arena has been taken over with GTA branding, bars around the city are now serving in-universe beers straight from the game, and a Vice City blimp has been spotted flying overhead, essentially rebranding Miami into Vice City in real life.
The takeover peaks on November 18 with “A Night in Vice City,” a special event featuring an NBA matchup between the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks. For the occasion, the Heat will play as the “Vice City Heat,” decked out in GTA-themed jerseys on a custom-designed court.
Miami’s nightclub scene has also quietly transformed into GTA-branded venues too.
GTA 6 launches November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preloading kicking off November 10 and demanding a hefty 212GB of storage space.
